The Historical Society will open its 2nd annual ‘Building Community Spirit’ Exhibit with the theme of “The Garden Club, Gardening and Beautification in Ogden Dunes.” The reception will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by a program at 4:00 p.m. The exhibit will focus on the 40 year history of the Garden Club, which was established in 1974, as well as other examples of gardening and civic beautification, as reflected in the Victory Gardens during World War II, the current Community Garden, and the continuing commitment of volunteers who maintain the Town Gardens.
The “Building Community Spirit” exhibits are underwritten by the Henry “Hank” Kazmier Exhibit Fund. This fund was created by Danielle Kazmier Bradley and Ronald Bradley.
