Women’s Club: 80th Year

The Historical Society will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Women's Club service to the Ogden Dunes community with a program that will feature exhibits, highlights of a film of the Women's Club annual luncheon in 1987, plus reminiscences of former presidents.   A reception will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  The program will begin at 4:00. Garden Club, Gardening and Beautification in Ogden Dunes

The Historical Society will open its 2nd annual 'Building Community Spirit' Exhibit with the theme of "The Garden Club, Gardening and Beautification in Ogden Dunes."  The reception will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by a program at 4:00 p.m.   The exhibit will focus on the 40 year history of the Garden Club, which was established in 1974, as well as other examples of gardening and civic beautification, as reflected in the Victory Gardens during World War II, the current Community Garden, and the continuing commitment of volunteers who maintain the Town Gardens.
