The Swedish Community in Northwest Indiana

Ken Schoon, author of a new book on the Swedish community in Northwest Indiana will present a program on April 14 at 4:00 at the Hour Glass Museum.  

Nature Walk of the National Lake Shore

New Tennis Courts - Diana Road

National Park Ranger and neighbor, Laura Brennan, will lead the second annual spring wild flower hike through West Beach.  Bring the entire family.   We will meet at the West Tennis Courts, near Long Lake Marsh at 1:00.

The Great Storm of 2008

Following the Memorial Service and Lion's Club Community Picnic at Kratz Field, the Historical Society of Ogden Dunes will be hosting an Ice Cream Social and Open House.

“Toy in the Closet” Historical Fiction by Trent Pendley

Trent Pendley, a well known author of local color fiction, will share his experiences writing about Porter County.    The program will begin at 4:00 p.m. and be followed by a reception.  All are invited.
