Ken Schoon, author of a new book on the Swedish community in Northwest Indiana will present a program on April 14 at 4:00 at the Hour Glass Museum.
National Park Ranger and neighbor, Laura Brennan, will lead the second annual spring wild flower hike through West Beach. Bring the entire family. We will meet at the West Tennis Courts, near Long Lake Marsh at 1:00.
Dan Manas will show and discuss his documentary of the community's response to the storm by coming together to clean the beach.
Following the Memorial Service and Lion's Club Community Picnic at Kratz Field, the Historical Society of Ogden Dunes will be hosting an Ice Cream Social and Open House.
The "Hour Glass Museum" is open to the public without charge on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. On some months during the year, the Historical Society will also sponsor a program at 4:00. See Calendar.
Trent Pendley, a well known author of local color fiction, will share his experiences writing about Porter County. The program will begin at 4:00 p.m. and be followed by a reception. All are invited.
